This awareness module helps you think about different aspects of data management, such as data collection, organisation, documentation, sharing and storage within your research project. In addition, the module provides guidelines to ensure that the data in your project is managed in a way that enables verification and reproducibility of the research. It also increases your awareness of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the obligation to protect the privacy of participants. Finally, you get basic knowledge on FAIR principles and the Data Life Cycle, as well as practical tools and guidance on creating your own data management plan.
Target group
This e-learning module is applicable to all research within life sciences. It is free for all interested parties conducting research activities within the UMCG.
